Canton Custom Instruments is a custom design and build shop for six, seven and eight string guitars and four, five and six string bass guitars. Without imposing our biases upon the process, we assist artists in designing the instrument they envision and lend technical advice and guidance. Then we build that guitar.
Rick Canton has been designing and building guitars professionally for the better part of a decade, and as a hobbyist and experimentalist since he started playing guitar at age twelve. With a focus on ergonomic design, an artist’s sensibility and a musician’s ear, the guitars he produces are truly exceptional.
Rick lives and works in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
